Savage Detectives

I realize we’re only two episodes into the new television season, but I’m really impressed with Nathan Fillon’s new crime drama “Castle”.  I get my father on the phone for a better perspective of television crime through the years, and wrap it up with a review of the newest addition to my gaming library – Savage Worlds!

Fear the Con 2

I spent the weekend at Fear the Con 2 in St Louis, MO.  The guys over at Fear the Boot put this on, and it looks like its going to be a regular event.  I debuted the Atomic Earth board game this weekend officially, and got some cool conversations with other podcasters.  Also, the Watchmen premiered this weekend, and you’re getting my impressions of that event as well.

Fear is Reality TV

Just because I forgot to mention it on the show, release date has been moved to Thursdays.  It fits my schedule better, ‘kay?  Plus I get to find out what comics are new this week to see if I wanna talk about them.  Line up today is a conversation about what’s on my TV this winter and spring.  We focus on the new show on the CW, 13 Fear is Real, but grab a whole lot of nostalgia for TV past along the way.

    Gotham Knight: perspective

Following up on the success of the Dark Knight, I had to put my two cents in about the direct-to-DVD companion story.  Unfortunately, I don’t have much to say, and none of it very complementary.  This project didn’t live up to expectations, and I won’t be lingering long here.  Expect another show before the end of the week just because I prefer to keep a positive tone.

    Kung Fu Panda: predestination

I’m in the studio (heh, I called my desk a studio…) with Isaiah, the youngest member of the show.  We’re talking about some movies we’ve seen this summer, including Nim’s Island, Speed Racer, the Waterhorse, and Kung Fu Panda.  Following that I wrap it up with a short discussion of the theme of predestination in Kung Fu Panda, and it’s implications even for our little people.

Still recording with the interim setup, so thanks for sticking around!

    Dark Knight: morality

Okay, I stayed up past my bedtime and snuck out on opening night to see the new Batman flick, but hey, it’s Batman!  So why is it taking me this long to post an analysis?  Can we say catastrophic system failure?  Anyway, I’m back online and have a host of things waiting in the wings.  Enjoy this spoiler-free review of the Dark Knight, followed by a promo for Stan Prolongo, Private Detective.
